Why do I get errors when backing up files on my iPhone?

When I am trying to make a back up of my iPhone data on my Mac based PC it is giving me error message “iTunes could not back up the iPhone because the backup could not be saved on the computer." I don’t know why it is giving so I have tried deleting the old backup and backing up again but not getting any solutions. What to do now? Any suggestions anyone can give???

During the backup procedure iTunes overwrites preceding backups on the PC. iTunes might be showing the error message if the existing backup file is damaged, locked or unreadable or might be because of iTunes is not able to read. To get rid of these problems just uninstall iTunes on Mac then reinstall it with a fresh download from Apple. It might work as I have not tried it but I am only giving you can advise.

After uninstall and reboot of iPhone if works well then it’s ok if not try out the iPhone backup for Mac software. This will be an easiest and safest solution to make backup. There are many in the market you can do a web search. Good Luck!
