When I have tried to start the outlook 2007 in the windows vista”.pst file could not be opened” error has occurred. How to resolve it?

When I have started Microsoft Office outlook 2007 in the windows vista, then I received FileName.pst file could not be opened error. Now I am unable to resolve this problem. I think my file may not be compatible with this version of the outlook or there might be some corruption.

trisha 		To resolve this problem of the .PST file corruption, help can be taken from inbox repair tool and you will be able to get the Repair PST. To do so you will have to follow these steps:
• First of all click Start, and point to search and then click the Files and folders.
• Type the Scanpst.exe I n the search for the files or the folders named box and then you will have to click Search Now.
• In the list of found files you will have to double click the Scanpst.exe file.
• Then type the name of the .PST file that you want to repair and click Browse to locate the .PST file.
• Then click start.
If you receive an error message then you will have the option to backup the files before you try to repair it.

swifty 		This error can be resolved with the help of Inbox repair tool but in order to resolve this problem there are certain steps that must be taken in order to resolve the problem the steps are:
• First of all Exit Outlook 2007, and click start windows and then to control panel.
• Then click the user account and family safety or the user accounts, and then click mail.
• Click data files, personal folders and also settings
• The text should be in the file name box, then click OK and close two times.
• Click Start windows and type %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Office12\ in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
• Then Double click the Scanpst, and in the enter the name of the file you want to scan box
• Then click start, when the inbox repair tool finishes, click OK.
