Video and audio out of sync while playing mkv video?

I downloaded a blue ray movie its format is MKV and I am currently playing it in VLC media player but then arose an acute problem I observed while playing it as the video and audio was not played in synchronization, audio was almost 10-15 minutes ahead of the movie. I am just not able to watch these movies in either jet audio or winamp is there any other way?

spriyasen 		Are you sure that there is no problem in the video, if so converting mkv would be a good option, for that mkv converter software is available. It can convert mkv to avi, mpeg, wmv, vob, mov, etc making it capable for playback on distinct players and do not worry for the quality, it’s efficient indeed and converts files with efficient sound and picture quality.
