Unable to Log Onto Account in Outlook 2000 ?

Last night, when I was opened my Outlook 2000 database to log onto my account, I was surprised to find out that I was denied access to it. I was getting an error message that some errors has been generated by Outlook.exe and would have to restart the program.

After when I clicked on the OK button, the computer shuts down on its own. I have tried more than a dozen times but every time I am getting the same error message and the system gets shut down. Being a businessman by profession, I am unable to access any of my mails, contacts or important documents stored in the database. Can anybody explain it to me the grounds of the problem and is there any proper solution to it?

I believe that the problem is occurring in your database because your Outlook profile is damaged or corrupted. Or may be there is damaged add-in which is not allowing you to access any of the data.

To solve this problem, I would suggest you to make a new profile. I hope you know how to make a new profile, if not then follow like this. In the Start menu, go to the Settings where you would find the Control Panel. In it there is Mail where there is Show Profile. Click on that which would give you an option to make a new one. Once you have made a new profile, start your system in Safe Mode. By doing this your problem would go away. If it does not, then you can make use of Scan PST or the Inbox Repair Tool which is present in the Outlook that would repair the corrupted items located in the database.

Try any of the two methods and I am pretty sure that definitely your problem would get solved and would be then able to access all the data on your Outlook.
