Program error occurred in the outlook PST file?

I was working on Microsoft outlook. Suddenly it stopped working and gave error message “A program error occurred. Quit Outlook and Microsoft Windows and then start again.” What is the cause of this error and what should I do to solve this problem?

ruhiwalia 		The error which is displaying may be of the following reasons

1. PST File in Outlook is the local copy which is used by the application to access and store all the email notes, items, journals and much other information. It may also occur if the file is damaged.
2. Installation of the Outlook is damaged.

If no1 is the cause then you can repair the damaged PST files with Run Inbox Repair tool. If it is unable to solve the problem then you can use the products to repair the PST.

If no 2 is the cause then you can reinstall it after renaming the Outllib.dll file. First search the file with Windows file search tool, and then right-click the file. Rename the file to Outllib.old. Then, remove the Outlook with Add/Remove Programs of the Control Panel. Then install the Outlook by using the Install/Uninstall buttons.

OutlookFIX outlook Pst repair repairs the damaged PST files. It can recover the Outlook PST in all the situations when the Outlook file is inaccessible or Outlook is failing to start.
