Marked Suspected Error in MS SQL Database ?

When I connected to the MS SQL Database and was trying to open the SQL Server management Studio, I am getting the following error message: “Database ‘msdb’ not found: It has been marked suspect”. After that when I am viewing the event log of SQL Server application, I am getting a further error message like: “Log Scan Number (152:284:1) in database ‘msdb’ is not valid”.

As a result of these error messages, I am not able to access to the SQL database. I want to know what the possible reason behind this mess and how to get rid of this problem. Has anybody used Stellar Phoenix SQL Repair utility tool? Were you able to fix your problems using this utility tool?

These error messages are occurring because either there is some kind of corruption in the SQL database or the error log file is not able to match up with the database file. In order to get rid of this problem, you can use an inbuilt tool called sp resetstatus. By using this tool you can get access to the damaged database by enabling you to change the status of the SQL database. But the only disadvantage using this tool is that you will be only able to connect to the SQL Server and you can access the other databases.

Couple of months back when I was not able to get access to the files in the SQL database due to virus attack, I had used this Stellar Phoenix software. All the damaged files of mine were repaired very efficiently by this software and I am really satisfied with its working. You can check out this Stellar Phoenix SQL Repair Software; though this is not the ultimate utility tool. There are many other 3rd party utility tools available for MS SQL Database Repair like Kernel, Data Nucleus etc.
