MTS File Conversion to MPEG4 file format from Sony Camcorder ?

The videos that I took from my Sony Camcorder DCR-TRV250 are in the MTS file format. I used TMPGENC Xpress 4.0 MTS Converter for Mac to convert the video to VOB file format so that I can watch the video on my DVD player. But the problem is that when I am trying to convert the video to VOB file format, the converter is not able to recognize the MTS video. Can anybody tell me how to fix this problem?

So, the problem is with the MTS Converter for Mac which is not able to recognize the video in MTS file format. In order to get rid of this problem, install the converter and go to the template folder where you would get a file called ‘mts.avst’. Create a folder and copy the MTS video file to this newly created folder. Rename the file as ‘mts.avst’. After this open the notepad and you will see the MTS file. Copy this MTS file from the backup folder to the template folder and then start the conversion procedure. You will find that the MTS file is shown and recognized by the converter and you can then convert the video to VOB file format to play it on your DVD player.
