How to Modify JVC’s Mod files for use with my favorite video editing program like adobe?

One of my friends asked me to make a DVD of video recording stored in a JVC Everio camcorder. The situation comes because he has lost the CD that came along with camera to edit mod files. But I thought that it is not a matter because I had adobe premiere which can edit those files but I was wrong. I found that mod files that JVC use does not recognize by Premiere or other video editing application. Now I am looking solution of above described problem.

Your problem is very simple and you should try mod converter for Mac software. The mod converter software converts mod files that JVC use to mpeg and other video format which you can easily edit your video files in Adobe video editor. Another method to rename the extension of video file but you should not go for this because you have mod converter software then you can convert several mod files to AVI, MPEG, MPG, VOB, MP4 and more.

I read a comment on the website http://www.moviecodec.com/topics/18620p1.html, some of them suggested Mod Video Converter but easily and simple method I find that .mod file was basically an .mpeg file and out there all of them wanted to change the extension of the mod file to .mpeg. But it will be very tough for you to rename hundreds of file. But it can also be done easily by opening command prompt to change the extension of files, type ren *.mod *.mpeg and press Enter. Now you can edit those files over to Premiere and burn the DVD for your friend.
