Having problem in encrypting my iphone backup. Can anyone help me?

I have to send some files of iphone 2G from the internet to my friend. I have made a backup file of iphone data on my system. But that data is very confidential and I know that these files will go through insecure networks. So, I want to encrypt those files to make it secure from others. I don’t know how to encrypt my iphone backup? Please help me?

freidadcosta 		To encrypt the backup file of your iphone 2G which is saved on your system you have to first connect your iphone to your system through data cable. Before connecting your iphone to your system you can download and then install and run the iphone 3.0 software which has the capability to encrypt the backup of your iphone 2G.

Then click on the summary tab. In the options section you will find a check box named as Encrypt iPhone backup. Click it. After that you will be asked to give the password to make secure your backup file which is stored on your system. Then press the set password and the process is completed. Now your entire iphone backup is encrypted and secure. You can also try some other software to encrypt your iphone backup as many companies are available in the market.
