Facing Type 2 error in PowerPoint 2000?

On opening PowerPoint application it hangs and on any other attempt it gets closed saying that “Microsoft powerpoint” has unexpectedly quit due to occurrence of error of type 2, how to resolve it?

For correcting this problem you can go for a new PowerPoint version i.e. PowerPoint 2001 which is free from being destroyed due to changes in toolbar containing Font list and thus no PPT repair, or default toolbar is to be added after deletion of multiple formatting toolbar from the system.

Such situation might have raised due to customization in toolbar containing Font List, actually what happens is that the” PowerPoint toolbar” preferences file gets damaged during modification. To conquer over this problem you need to delete PowerPoint toolbar, so that default toolbar comes into use and for doing so, following are the steps-Open system folder-> preferences: Microsoft Search for PowerPoint toolbar file, and drag it to trash from special menu choose empty trash option. With this you can repair PowerPoint toolbar, damaged while customization.
