Experiencing PowerShell Error in Outlook 2003… What to Do?

I have PowerShell installed on my Windows Vista operating system and using Outlook 2003 version. When I am trying to restore a particular PST file on PowerShell, the file does get exported but when I am trying to restore it, I am getting the following error message: ‘Faulting application powershell.exe’. After when this error message is displayed, I am unable to access the data present in the PST file. Can anybody explain it to me why is it so?

You should know that when the PST files are damaged or contains infected items and when you try to export the file using the method that you have listed above, you are sure to get the above mentioned error message. There cannot be any other reasons for the issues that you are experiencing now.

In order to get rid of the problem, I would advise you to make a correction in your Import and Export procedure. You should know that there is an inbuilt tool located in the Outlook database called Inbox Repair Tool which you can use to repair the damaged PST files. You can locate the file using the following command: disk drive: \\Program Files\\Common Files\\System\\MSMAPI\\1033 on your Vista OS. Alternatively, you can use any good 3rd party PST Repair Vista that would not only repair the corrupted PST files but would also enhance the performance of the Outlook 2003 by splitting the large PST files into smaller ones.
