I have got MS Outlook 2003 edition. When I am doing the backup of all the PST files using backup software, the backup process starts but after sometime the process halts in the middle and I get the abovementioned error message. Can anybody tell me how to get rid of this particular error message so that I am able to do the backup of all the PST files on the server easily?

These kinds of error messages are very common in MS Outlook 2003 edition when you are doing the Outlook PST Backup. To avoid the error messages, edit the backup script first and then click on the options. After that click on the ‘More Choices’ and from there select the Outlook on the left side of the screen. Then uncheck the Force Backup of MS Outlook 2003.

In this way, you will be able to get rid of the error message and be able to do the complete backup of all the PST files on the server easily. It has to be kept in the mind that when you are doing the backup of the PST files, all the files and folders of the MS Outlook has to be closed prior to the backup.

Even after going through the abovementioned steps, the error message is displayed, then the only solution to your problem is opting for 3rd party utility tools called PST Repair. Not only does the error message is resolved but it also performs PST Password Recovery for the PST files whose password you might have forgotten.
