“1962: No OS found” appears and hampers the booting process. ?

If I start my system then it does not properly startup and a message is blinked “1962: No OS found”. It tells about recovery and error. Is BIOS of the system not configuring properly? Is such circumstances it is hard to backup and update data. Suppose if HD corrupts without availing me backup data then what should I do? Can data recovery tool rescue me from this?

Hey, for vista or for XP reason behind the error used to be very much same. For such thing you can ensure about the activities of your system. If anything wrong happens like in configuration of HD, booting technique in basic input output system etc. if anything flowing in different track is observed then call professionals to make your system work properly. If they repair the HD but fails in protecting data then use XP data recovery for XP OS. Many companies offer such data recovery software.

First of all information is incomplete. You have mentioned bout the error but forgotten to mention detail about operating system you are using. Sometime if the hard disk is crashed then such error comes. You can meet any recovery professional immediately as this can collapse your data. If the hard drive is physically corrupted then you have to change the hard drive but if the corruption is logical then you can use data recovery XP or vista depending upon the OS you use.

There are several causes of the error like cabling problem of HD, jumper setting anxiety, damage HD, wrong sequence of booting in BIOS, hard drive is not recognized by BIOS etc. so, giving only one reason among them is not correct. To remove “No operating system found error” check the sequence of booting, see BIOS setting, fix setting of jumper etc. Although you are unable to mange the data then use data recovery vista. Vista is for vista OS. Similarly you will find XP recovery software too.
